I am a technologist, innovator hardware engineer and software engineer, with a natural ability to understand how things work and to quickly assimilate new environments. This has enabled me to provide consultancy, research, analysis, design, creation, implementation and training of many technology solutions in a diverse range of market sectors across four continents. 

The gadgeteer in me has combined with a love of photography such that I am something of an authority on digital imaging and have served on international standards committees in that arena.

I have many published equipment reviews and am named on a number of research papers and patents across a number of different disciplines.

Significant achievements include: the creation of the UK’s first internet based photo printing service; building an entire national retail imaging infrastructure for Tesco stores in the UK; Bringing together my UI design with software and hardware from the far east to make an innovative ophthalmic medical device; Designing and building an automatic thermoluminescent dosimeter reader; Obtaining ISO13485, IEC60601, CE, FDA and FCC certifications for multiple companies and many devices both hardware and software; technical support, trouble shooting and training across four continents.

This all adds up to more than 40 years of experience that can bring fast and significant value to any relevant project, team or company.
